Program ContentIn this course, you will read the book Systemic Sex Therapy, Third Edition (2019; PURPLE COVER). Although there are similarities between this book and What Every Mental Health Professional Needs to Know About Sex, these is important material regarding an intersystemic or family systems approach to sexual problems.
Intended Audience
This course is recommended both as an introduction to the topic as well as an update for more experienced practitioners of sex and relationship therapy.
Course Objectives
As a result of taking this course, you will be able to:
1. Use an integrated systems approach to understanding male sexual problems. (Area A)
2. Use an integrated systems approach to understanding female sexual problems. (Area A)
3. Use an solution-focused approach to assessment and treatment of sexual problems. (Area A)
4. Use an integrated systems approach to assessing and treating Delayed Ejaculation. (Area B)
5. Describe and apply an integrated approach to treating infidelity. (Area C)
6. Describe and apply an integrated approach to treating sex addiction as it impacts couples. (Area C)
7. Describe the role of sexual pharmacology in the evaluation and treatment of psychosexual disorders. (Area D)
8. Describe at least three instances in which a referral needs to be made to a healthcare professional. (Area E)

Exam and Evaluation
You are required to take an exam to demonstrate that you read and understood the material. This course contains five exams which cover three chapters a piece. You will have three tries on each exam to pass at 80% or better. Once you complete the course evaluation, you will be able to automatically download your certificate of completion.
