In this course you will learn:
1. Female sexual anatomy and the role of female sex hormones.
2. Male sexual anatomy and the role of male sex hormones.
3. New findings about the female clitoris.
4. Why women seek out "revirgination" (surgery to become a virgin again)
5. Common misconceptions about the female G-Spot.
6. Fertility preservation methods for transgender clients or patients.
7. Treatment concerns where medical and mental health professionals may be able to collaborate.
Intended Audience
This course is recommended both as an introduction to the topic as well as an update for more experienced practitioners of sex and relationship therapy.
Course Objectives
1. Identify the location & function of anatomical parts of female sex organs/male sex organs.
2. Identify & describe the function of female sex hormones / male sex hormones.
3. Describe the phenomenon of female genital surgery / mutilation / male circumcision.
4. Identify at least two anatomical factors that contribute to female orgasm.
5. Identify at least two reasons why transgender patients need to know about fertility preservation.
6. Describe at least three misconceptions about the female G-spot.
7. Identify three concerns that could prompt a mental health professional to provide a referral for medical services.
Total CE Hours: 6
Exam and Evaluation
You are required to take an exam to demonstrate that you read and understood the material. This course contains four exams and one evaluation. You will have three tries on each exam to pass at 75% or better. Once you complete the course evaluation, you will be able to automatically download your certificate of completion.
